From tiny fingers exploring their very first cake to celebrating a milestone birthday, these sessions are about freezing a moment you’ll never want to forget. Milestone and cake smash sessions are filled with laughter, wonder, and sweet memories—sometimes with a little frosting on the nose. My goal is to capture your child’s personality and this beautiful stage of life in a way you’ll treasure for years to come.
What to expect
Your milestone or cake smash session is designed to be fun, relaxed, and completely stress-free—focused on capturing your child’s personality and this special season of life. Sessions typically last about 30–45 minutes and move completely at your child’s pace.Here’s what to expect from your milestone birthday photoshoot:
After booking:
Once your session is booked, I’ll help guide you through planning and styling. We’ll talk about colors, outfits, and the overall look you’re going for. You’re welcome to bring one or two outfits, and for cake smash sessions, you’ll bring the cake (unless otherwise arranged). Try to schedule the session around your child’s happiest time of day and make sure they’ve had a nap and a snack beforehand—happy kids make for the best photos! Don’t forget to bring wipes, a towel, and a clean outfit for after the session.
At the session:
We’ll usually start with a few clean, simple portraits before bringing out the cake (for cake smash sessions). Once the cake comes out, the fun begins! Some kids dive right in, some are cautious, and some prefer to taste-test first—and all of those reactions are perfect and make the session unique.
There’s no pressure for your child to perform. We take breaks if needed, keep things playful, and follow their lead to capture natural smiles, giggles, and sweet little expressions.
And don’t worry about the mess—that’s part of the fun and part of the memories!
After the session:
Preview & Gallery: Within 2–3 weeks, you’ll receive a beautiful online gallery to view, download, and share. Your final images will be timeless, joyful, and full of personality—perfect for celebrating this milestone, sharing with family, and remembering just how little they were at this moment in time.
